Human Rights

Exploiting people’s vulnerabilities and their sensitive data puts at risk the fundamental rights of individuals, and undermines human security. While concerns grow over the safety of personal privacy and data, there is a need for robust personal data protection. Moreover, the proliferation of false, misleading, and inaccurate information undermines human security in cyberspace, as well as the global development. We need to identify scalable and sustainable solutions against disinformation, misinformation and propaganda, while securing the rights to freedom of opinion and expression.

DEVASEC supports the global and regional initiatives on fostering human rights and diversity, in particular in the areas of data privacy and disinformation.
